How to update a PowerPoint add-in for Windows

  1. First remove the add-in you want to replace by going to PowerPoint File -> Options -> Add-ins

  2. Change the drop down form COM Add-ins to PowerPoint Add-ins

  3. Press GO

  4. Click on the add-in you want to remove

  5. Click on Remove

  6. Download the latest version of the add-in

  7. Make sure it is not Locked, by clicking on the add-in file -> Properties -> make sure there is no lock checkmark on it (if there isn’t any or there is no lock sign all good)

  8. Back in PowerPoint in the add-ins Window -> click on Add… and select the file you added

  9. If you get prompted about trusting the Add-in, select “Trust All from Publisher”. This will make it easier to add future Bearwood Labs add-ins to PowerPoint
